Interlibrary Loan

The Lehigh Public Library participates in the InterLibrary Loan program though State of Iowa Libraries Online (SILO). The library will follow the terms of agreement set by the State Library of Iowa.

Any patron with a valid, non-delinquent Lehigh Public Library account may request an interlibrary loan through the Lehigh Public Library, regardless of where they live. Interlibrary loan requests can be made in person, by phone or by email to the Library Director.

Patrons will be responsible for any interlibrary loan materials in their possession. If the item is lost or damaged, the patron will be charged the replacement cost for the item as per the lending library's request. There is no additional charge for this service thanks to the Iowa Shares Program paid for by the Institute of Museum and Library Services under the provisions of the Library Services and Technology Act as administered by the State Library of Iowa.

Our Iowa Shares delivery days are Tuesdays and Fridays, and we will do our best to get your requested item(s) in a timely manner. We will contact you when your item(s) have been delivered and will hold items for 2 weeks, if you have not picked up your item(s) or made arrangements to do so they will be returned to the lending library.
